Blinds by Design was established in 2000 and is owned and operated by Nicki Kranidis. We provide custom treatments all over Southwestern Ontario.
Our mission is simple. To provide excellent service from start to finish, along with a high-quality product that we stand behind.
Although the business was only meant to be a part-time venture originally; that has all changed. The business has grown substantially year after year. This growth can be attributed to our ability to listen to and understand our clients’ needs. We develop relationships with each and every one of our customers. We help them, not sell them.
At Blinds By Design, we offer an extensive selection of blinds, shades, shutters, and customized drapery. We provide free in-home consultations along with 3 beautiful showrooms. All staff are interior designers with extensive experience and can assist our clients in making the right choices for their space.
Our advantage over the competition is our ability to think outside the box when challenges arise and our commitment to meeting tight deadlines. About
Are you interested in knowing more about the people behind our business? Well, my name is Nicki Kranidis and I am the owner. I have been in business for over 20 years now. I have always had a passion for design and enjoyed redecorating my room as a child. I grew up in a small community of fewer than 100 people in Charleston, Newfoundland, and moved to London, Ontario, at the age of 17 after graduating.
I continued to help friends and family with their decorating needs, and eventually, it became my passion. I worked many regular jobs, but I always knew I wanted to have my own business. Before starting Blinds by Design, I worked as an Accounting Manager for a construction company. This gave me a lot of knowledge in the commercial aspect of my business.
When I had my children, I knew I wanted to be able to spend time with them, so I created a solid business plan and opened my own business. I started this business when my first child was born. I placed an ad in the good old penny saver and got my first sale from a lady who worked for Revenue Canada. I will never forget that sale. From there, my passion for window coverings took off and became what it is today.
My goal has always been to help customers choose a window covering that not only looks good but serves a functional purpose. I have a staff of 6 that are equally dedicated to the success of this business and I appreciate them all. If you don’t have a team you have nothing. They all share the same passion and goals for this business in providing excellent customer service. Our google reviews prove that!
